| Installation CyberOffice Club is an eCommerce component that is built on top of the latest technologies of Active Server Page, ActiveX component and ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) introduced by Microsoft on its various IIS (Internet Information Server) based Web servers, The application does not run directly under UNIX systems. But it can provide services to Web sites under any platforms. CyberClub requires CyberOffice Shopping Cart (CyberShop) version 2.7.6 or later installed under the same server. To integrate CyberClub into CyberShop, simply specify the Membership Database under the Global/System Settings (from the Shop Manager of CyberShop). By default, the parameter is DSN=Membership. It is recommended that you install the program on a local PC running Personal Web Server (which itself comes free with Windows 98/NT). Then copy the resulting files and directories (/_private, /cgi-bin, /shopping_cart, /membership by default) to your Web site. You may set a link to your shop manager entry page at /Shopping_Cart/Shop_Main.htm. If you have installed CyberShop to a non-default folder or after CyberClub, copy /membership/shop_*.asp and /membership/appendix.asp files to the shopping cart folder to set up the interface between the two products. All the shopping cart and membership logic is built into ActiveX components called CyberShop.Dll and CyberClub.Dll (located in /cgi-bin directory). It not already done, your Web site administrator or ISP must register these components by running: Regsvr32.Exe [physical path]\CyberShop.Dll once on the server (with the right NT system permission). Make sure to assign Execution Permission to it. The components require Visual Basic 5 runtime library. If not present, it can be installed by opening VB5_run.htm (in the same directory) with Internet Explorer. The program will download files directly from Microsoft Web site. The ISP/administrator also needs to set Full Control Permission on /_private for IUSR_XXX and Everyone. At the same time, the folder must be disabled from browsing via FrontPage Explorer or other means. |
